Tyler grew up in Dayton, TN and earned a Bachelor‘s degree in History and Secondary Education from Carson Newman. For 16 years, he taught social studies classes at Bearden High School, the majority being World History and Bible History elective. Tyler grew up in Dayton, TN and earned a Bachelor‘s degree in History and Secondary Education from Carson Newman. For 16 years, he taught social studies classes at Bearden High School, the majority being World History and Bible History elective. He also coached the golf and tennis teams for a total of 18 seasons. Tyler has volunteered with ministries such as Christ Led Communities, Safe Families, and FCA where he was named the Alvah Bible Campus Influence award recipient in 2014. For the last 2 years he directed and taught at the first released time Bible education classes for high school students in Knoxville at the Anchor Learning Center. He lives with his wife Katie and their 3 kids, Maggie (11), Thomas (9), and Davey (8).

Abby graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors degree in psychology and a Masters degree in Teacher Education. She has spent the last 3 years teaching at Northshore Elementary School in Knoxville. In addition to teaching, Abby has served in various different ministry settings with Young Life and with the student and coll

She has spent the last 3 years teaching at Northshore Elementary School in Knoxville. In addition to teaching, Abby has served in various different ministry settings with Young Life and with the student and college ministries at Shoreline Church. She is excited to be joining the Bearden Learning Center and has a passion for walking alongside the next generation academically, personally, and spiritually. Abby and her husband, Turner, have been married for 1 year and love getting to do ministry together.
