Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at beardenlearningcenter@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Students can sign up for Bearden Learning Center classes when registering for next year's classes in the spring, just like they would for any other classes.  All students must have parent permission on file before attending.  See your guidance counselor for more information.

Our classes meet at Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.  Students will enter the side door on the south entrance.

Students have two transportation options for traveling between Bearden High School and our classroom at Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church:

Option 1: Student Driver

Students who have their own transportation may drive to and from class and park in the Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church parking lot.

  • Students enrolled in 1st Block may drive directly to the church before school.
  • Students enrolled in 5th Block may leave directly from the church after class.
  • Bearden Learning Center classes operate similarly to a Dual Enrollment program, allowing eligible students to drive themselves.

Option 2: Bearden Learning Center Shuttle

The Bearden Learning Center provides a 15-passenger van that transports students between Bearden High School and Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church.

  • The van picks up students in front of Bearden High School approximately five minutes before the class period begins.
  • After class, students are transported back to campus in time for their next scheduled class.

On the first day of school each semester, Bearden Learning Center students and teachers will meet in the West Mall Commons on the BHS campus to go over procedures and collect any remaining permission forms before traveling to Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church.
